Meet Gavin W.!

Gavin is a fantastic example of a dedicated online learner. He consistently attends LiveLesson sessions, actively participates, and has shown incredible growth throughout the school year. His hard work, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for learning make him truly deserving of this recognition!

His Learning Coach, Ammy, loves the flexibility that Great River Connections Academy provides, allowing their family to learn on a schedule that works best for them.

When asked what he enjoys most about school, Gavin shared, "I love Connections Academy because I can do my school work and then go outside and play!" ☀️

Science is Gavin's favorite subject, and when he's not learning, you'll likely find him on the soccer field doing what he loves.⚽️

What an exciting milestone for the 250+ graduates of Great River Connections Academy Class of 2026! 🎓 We can’t wait to see where your hard work and determination take you next. 💻📚

The has earned over $30,000 in scholarships! Over 80 graduates plan to attend a 2- or 4-year college, while 50 plan to enter the workforce. Some notable college acceptances include Purdue University, Ohio State University, Southern New Hampshire University, Youngstown State University, the University of Akron, and Indiana Wesleyan University.

Help us congratulate 7th grader Teresa C, one of our Eagles of the Month!

“Teresa is a joy to have in class,” shared her teachers. “She actively participates in all of her classes and has maintained excellent grades while also participating in many club activities.”

Teresa loves the flexibility of online learning, sharing, “I can take my time, eat a filling breakfast, and feel refreshed with the amount of sleep I can get.” She also adds, “My teachers always want the best for me… I can always count on them.”

From excelling in language arts and science to enjoying Art Club and giving back through volunteer work, Teresa is truly shining. We’re so proud of you!

Join us in celebrating 8th grader James P, one of our Eagles of the Month!

“James constantly demonstrates achievement in his courses as well as outside of the virtual classroom,” shared his teachers. “He actively participates in all LiveLessons and goes above and beyond in his coursework.”

James says he loves the flexibility, sharing, “I can do my schoolwork whenever I want and flex my schedule to fit whatever I have going on.” He also appreciates the focused environment, adding that it helps him maintain “extremely high grades.”

From strong connections with teachers to fun gaming, tech, and cooking pop-ups, James is making the most of his experience. We’re so proud of you, James!
