Great River Connections Academy We create a high-quality educational experience that helps keep students engaged in a safe learning environment.

Serving Ohio students in grades K-12 with a full-time, tuition-free online public school and the kind of connection that helps kids grow into confident learners. True to our name, we believe meaningful connections drive better academic outcomes, so we build a strong circle of support that unites students, families, and educators. Beyond academics, our teachers focus on building fundamental life skills, partnering with families to help students learn how they learn best. Here, students gain the skills needed to thrive in the real world by becoming resourceful and resilient. Our school is authorized by the Ohio Council of Community Schools. Learning Comes to Life at Great River Connections Academy! 🐠🌊

A huge thank you to the Cleveland Aquarium for bringing amazing sea creatures right to our students! 🤍🐟

Our students had the opportunity to learn all about coastal habitats and the incredible animals that call these environments home. From fascinating sea life to new discoveries, it was an engaging experience that brought science to life! 🦀🔬✨

We love giving our students opportunities to explore, learn, and discover the world around them, all from home! 🌎📚💜

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Ms. Herzick 🌟

Meet Ms. Herzick, a 2nd-grade teacher who has been inspiring students for 14 years and has been part of our school family for the past four years! 💜

Her favorite part of teaching is watching students' confidence grow throughout the school year as they work hard and see the results of their efforts. ✨

When she's not teaching, Ms. Herzick enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, cheering on her son at baseball games, watching her daughter cheer at football games, camping with her family, and serving her church community. ⛺⚾📣

Fun fact: Ms. Herzick recently moved to the country and lives near her family's farm, where she cares for chickens and a heifer named Penny, with plans to add even more farm animals soon! 🐔🐄

Help us celebrate Ms. Herzick in the comments! 💜🤍
