A Co’s Turning Green Ceremony will take place on Friday March 13th at Kanell Field at 0900. Kanell Field is on post and will require anyone without a military ID to go to the visitor center and get a guest pass. The link below is to the parking lot across from Kanell Field.

Directly Following TG, trainees will be released on a pass from Friday March 13th to Sunday March 15th. Trainees must return no later than 7:00 PM. Trainees will be briefed on pass rules and regulations prior to Turning Green.

POV ship (all PAX leaving via personal vehicles) will be 0400-0800 on the 18th of December
Enter the installation through TCP10 (NIM gate).
Drill Sergeants will be posted along the route.

Air Ship (all PAX leaving via air travel) will be leaving the 19th of December out of ATL. Flights will ATL be no earlier than 0600.

RETURN TIME FOR ALL PAX WILL BE landing in ATL no later than 1800 on 04JAN2026.
All POV PAX will be back at A Co NLT 1800 on 04JAN2026.

PLEASE RETRIEVE YOUR PASS FROM THE VISITOR CENTER AT THE MAIN GATE BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE SANDHILL GATE FOR TURNING BLUE

Reminder: Turning Blue is a significant ceremony that occurs the day before Graduation of Infantry OSUT. The "blue" in Turning Blue refers to the blue infantry cord that the soldiers receive during this ceremony. This cord is worn on the right shoulder of the Army dress uniform and signifies that the wearer is a trained infantryman. The ceremony is a special occasion that acknowledges your soldier's hard work and dedication. It is open to all Family Members and anyone who would like to attend.

Reminder:
After the Turning Blue ceremony (24 November), your Soldiers will receive a Day ONLY pass with you to celebrate this accomplishment. The uniform is the AGSU uniform (they will wear at Turning Blue). More guidance will be put out on the specifics of this one day pass.

Reminder: Graduation is the final event in the OSUT cycle. It signifies that the soldiers have successfully completed all phases of training and are ready to fulfill their duties in the broader Army. Families and friends are invited to attend this public ceremony, which usually includes a parade, speeches, and the presentation of diplomas/certificates. It's a moment of great pride and achievement for both the soldiers and their loved ones.

Dear Axemen Family,

Your Trainees have completed the FORGE and turned green. Upon return of their pass, they immediately started training to earn the title of infantrymen. This week, Axemen Trainees learned the capabilities of the M18A1 claymore and began their training progression on automatic weapons.

The Turning Green Ceremony is approaching with 4 weeks left. The Ceremony will be held on Kanell Field at 09:00 AM EST, Friday, 29August2025.

Immediately after the ceremony the trainees will be released to their families and be on their 4-Day pass. We will expect trainees back at the company no later than 5:00 PM EST, Monday, 01September2025.

Visitor pass:
Families that need to obtain visitor passes to get onto Ft. Benning can receive that at the main gate visitor center.

Directions:
Remember to download the guideon app and enter Kanell Field in it so you will have accurate directions while driving around on post.

Parking:
As can be seen in the attached picture, we welcome you to park at the parking across the Street from Kanell Field. Please reach out with any questions you may have. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

This week, your trainees conducted Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) training, hammer tower, completed the confidencecl course, obstacle course, and they ran through Team Development Course (TDC).
