North High School

North High School Home of the Polar Bears. Columbus Ohio Senior High School from 1924 until 1979.

Permanently closed.

Following the closure of North, We functioned as the North Adult Education Center and the
home of the Individual Program for the Attainment for Student Success (I-PASS} Center, an
alternative to expulsion for students throughout Columbus City Schools. North was later used
as a temporary home for other Columbus City Schools during their construction periods including East
High School, Linden McKi

nley STEM{Science Technology Engineering and Math} and is currently the home of
the Columbus International High School. In recognition of our heritage, The international school is now called Columbus North International High School. However our building is undergoing a new conversion and is preparing to open for 2020-2021 academic year as Dominion Middle School 's new home building with our Polar Bear as the school mascot.

Another resource you want to be familiar with is this page, where a number of alumni exchange information. The Polar Bear Alumni Association publishes a monthly newsletter called the Roars. If you want to join the alumni association and receive the Roars, you will need to mail a check for an annual membership fee of $10.00 made payable to Polar Bear Alumni Association and addressed to PBAA, 718 Fairlawn Dr., Columbus, OH 43214
