Five companies have been chosen to participate in the 1492 Business Accelerator Program. The program provides each company with a $20,000 grant and an 11-week program of coaching and business mentoring. The goal is for each company to launch a viable product or service by mid-January 2012.

1492 is a community collaboration among TechColumbus, Columbus State Community College and the Columbus College of Art & Design, with support from the Ohio Third Frontier.
