✨ The North Vernon PreservINg Main Street program is really beginning to take shape! ✨
This week, Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs staff came for a visit to review the program design, celebrate recent milestones, and map out the next steps that will keep the momentum moving forward. 🤝
Over the next two years, this transformational $2 million investment will numerous historic downtown building facades, preserving the unique character of The City of North Vernon, Indiana while creating an even more vibrant North Vernon Main Street District for residents, businesses, and visitors. 🧱🎨🏙️
ARa is proud to serve as the grant administrator for this exciting initiative and to partner with the City of North Vernon, North Vernon Main Street, OCRA, and local stakeholders as this vision becomes reality. 🚀

📣 The City of Bedford, IN needs your input! 📣

🏠 The City is applying for a $350,000 grant through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) to help qualified homeowners with eligible home repairs.

As part of the application process, they are asking community members to complete a short online survey regarding housing repair needs in Bedford. The survey has 7 questions and takes just a few minutes to complete.

Even if you do not plan to apply for assistance yourself, your feedback will strengthen the city's grant application and help demonstrate the need within the Bedford community.

📣 Attention Contractors – Now Seeking Qualified Contractors For Grant Program! 📣

Jennings County is looking for qualified contractors for its Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation (OOR) Program, a local home repair initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA). The county is anticipating assisting 30-35 homeowners with the following eligible repairs:

✅ Roof Repairs or Replacements
✅ Heating & Cooling System Replacements
✅ Water Heater Replacements
✅ ADA Accessibility Modifications to Home Entry

If you are a contractor who performs these types of repairs, and you’re qualified to work in Jennings County, you are invited to attend a Bidders List Meeting to learn more about the program and how to place bids on work that will be distributed in June 2026.
