Hello friends! Our September Central Ohio Stakeholders Convening has been rescheduled from September 2 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

New Date: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
New Time: 4:00–6:00 PM
Same Location: Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services (ETSS)

While the date has changed, our purpose and commitment to listening remain the same.

NAIC will share a brief update on recent accomplishments, initiatives, and priorities, but the heart of this convening is hearing from you. We want to better understand the concerns, emerging needs, and opportunities you are seeing—and where NAIC can be a partner in good by connecting communities with state government, resources, policymakers, and one another.

Light refreshments will be provided. We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to a meaningful conversation on September 30.

The George Washington Williams Room in the Ohio Statehouse, honoring Ohio’s first Black state legislator, stands as one lasting example of Ray Miller’s commitment to ensuring Black contributions have a permanent place in Ohio’s story. He was a driving force we can thank for this lasting recognition young Ohioans can reference.

We honor Ray Miller’s life and service to Ohio. His leadership helped lay the foundation for institutions that continue serving Ohioans today such as the Ohio New African Immigrants Commission, the Commission on Minority Health, and Ohio’s behavioral health system.

His work reflected a powerful belief that strong families and strong neighborhoods begin by supporting people—their health, opportunity, dignity, and ability to thrive. Most importantly, their voice.

We thank him for his service to Ohio and for leaving a legacy that continues through the institutions, communities, and people he helped strengthen.
