Laborers from across the Ohio Valley and Southern States Region are headed to Houston for Tradeswomen Build Nations, October 9 to 11, joining nearly 6,000 union tradeswomen.

Ahead of the conference, OVSS is spotlighting members making the trip, starting with Shena Link of Local 1392 in Owensboro, Kentucky.

A LIUNA member for 26 years, Shena is excited to spend the weekend with her trade sisters who are breaking barriers and lifting others as they climb. She’s bringing Kentucky’s energy with her.

She plans to come home even more determined to open doors and strengthen the union, so the next generation of women knows there’s a place for them in the trades.
