AMVETS Post 9, Columbus, Georgia is on the move with our assistance to Veterans. We are in the process of purchasing a new post home that will accommodate our programs and membership in the AMVETS Family. If you live in the Columbus-Chattahoochee Valley area and would like to join our AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, AMVETS Riders Units or Sons of AMVETS, please call us at 706-392-6666 or e-mail [email protected] If you join one of our units, we will discount your membership from the current dues of $30 to $17.50. We are waiving our Post portion of the dues amount. AMVETS Post 9 is undergoing a major transformation and the Post would like any honorably active duty, retired or prior service member. If you have special skills that would be great as you could be a great asset to the Post helping our veterans. The mission of AMVETS is to serve veterans by filling VA claims. This Post provides service to members and their spouses. In the area of claims assistance, Post 9 has very skilled Service Officers und matched by any VSO in Georgia. Our Judge Advocate is a 24 year Police Sergeant and a practicing attorney. Our Chief Service is 22 year Army (RET) and Retired Service Officer with the Georgia Department of Veterans Service.
