We are excited to share the results of Ohio START’s Social Return on Investment study, which estimates that Ohio START generated between $157.7 million and $349 million in social value from 2017 through 2025, representing an estimated return of $3.05 to $6.74 for every dollar invested.

Commissioned by PCSAO and conducted by Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service, the study examines Ohio START’s impact on families, children, child welfare systems, taxpayers, and service providers. We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Christian, a recipient of our 2023 PCSAO Leaders of Tomorrow Award.

Christian was a fierce advocate for youth experiencing foster care and homelessness. Through his work as a fellow of the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative of the Annie E. Casey Foundation and a member of the Continuum of Care Advisory Board, the REACH Youth Action Board, and A Place 4 Me's Board of Directors, he made a positive difference in the lives of countless young people.

We are grateful for Christian's advocacy and the example he set through his service to others. Our heartfelt condolences are with Christian's family, friends, and loved ones.
