A 5-year-old boy named Cross Flagg asked his mother for a Jesus themed birthday party. She had no idea it was coming.

He planned rainbow cupcakes to represent God's promise, put Jesus figures on the treats, and prepared a Kids Bible and a salvation bracelet for every guest. The coloured bead bracelets he handed to the adults reportedly brought grown men to tears. Several have continued wearing them.

His mother Jaclyn said they serve as "a reminder to them to have childlike faith."

They were not evil. They were busy. 🌾

Jesus said the days before His return would look like the days of Noah, and then He described them: eating, drinking, marrying, giving in marriage, right up until the day Noah entered the ark (Matthew 24:37-39). Notice what is missing from that list. No monsters, no armies, no cinematic wickedness. Just ordinary life, running at full speed, with nobody looking up.

That is the warning. The flood did not catch people mid-crime. It caught them mid-errand. Jesus said they knew nothing about what was coming until it took them all away, and He said it would be exactly like that at His coming. Distraction is not neutral. A packed calendar can bury a soul as quietly as open rebellion, and Genesis says it was the Lord Himself who shut the door before the first drop fell. ⛈️

What in your ordinary week is loud enough to keep you from hearing Him?

Genesis says Noah was six hundred years old the day the waters came, and when that door closed, eight people were inside.
