‼️Attention!‼️ There will be a Columbus Youth Climate Action Fund virtual information session on Friday, February 28 at 12 pm. This session is for potential young applicants and others who may be interested in helping to guide a project or act as a fiscal sponsor.

Join us for an overview of the program, a look at some of last year’s projects, and a chance to ask questions. This session will be recorded and posted at www.columbus.gov/YCAF for those who can’t attend.

Attention all young climate leaders in Columbus!📢 Applications are officially open for the 2025 Columbus Youth Climate Action Fund! That’s right, this program is back as Columbus has been selected by Bloomberg Philanthropies to receive $100,000 to continue positive impact.

We’re offerring micro grants up to $5,000 to empower young leaders ages 15-24 to make a change in your community. Whether it’s a project focused on reducing pollution, increasing clean energy, healthy & sustainable neighborhoods, or climate education this opportunity is for you!

Exciting news! We’re headed into the holiday feeling thankful that our Clean Energy Columbus community choice aggregation program made the National Renewable Energy Laboratory Top 10 list!😍 This means our program is one of the largest clean energy providers in the country. Since the start of the program, over 5.8 million MW of clean energy have been used by over 200,000 enrolled residents. Not to mention the program providing over $40 million in energy bill savings, and it cutrently saves the average household $100/year!

Our office was honored to accept the IMPACT Community Action Ripple of Hope Award last week! This year the annual event theme focused on IMPACT’s Climate Justice initiatives and work. We are so grateful to the deep and meaningful partnership between our office and IMPACT - they truly are leading our community forward with their climate justice efforts! Whether it’s creating a net-zero neighborhood, energy efficient appliances, clean energy jobs training and a solar training lab, or energy efficiency through weatherization (work they’ve done for 40+ years!) - they always say yes to new ideas and opportunities that can help our community now and into the future.
