Turn your climate ideas into action! 🌱

The City of Columbus is continuing its investment in the Youth Climate Action Fund for a third year, with nearly $50,000 in microgrants available to youth groups ages 15–24.

📅 Applications are open through October 23

Projects should begin by January 2027 and be completed by July 2027.

👋 Meet Bella, our 2026 intern!

Sustainable Columbus is excited to have Bella Shorr, a junior at The Ohio State University on the team. During her internship, Bella has contributed to developing the Columbus ClimateView Dashboard, supported a temperature change and cool surfaces pilot at Blackburn Park, and helped engage residents at community events.

She’s also leading Sustainable Columbus’ 2026 process for collecting and submitting the City’s climate and sustainability data to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). 🌎📊

We’re grateful for all the work Bella is doing to support a more sustainable Columbus. Welcome, Bella! 💚

Today our team spent some time volunteering at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective market at Norton Rd! We helped unload and stock the shelves with food right before they opened for residents to come through and do their shopping. While we serve the public and community in our everyday roles, this was a great way to give back further, visit one of our neighborhoods and support a wonderful community organization!
