“Once you’re in his circle, be prepared for endless cuddles and kisses!” 🥰

Baloo has been experiencing so many new things in his foster home, and we're so excited to share what we know! 🧡

We’ve learned that Baloo:
✅ Is house trained
✅ Does well free roaming home alone
✅ Sleeps comfortably in his crate overnight
✅ Knows “sit” and is learning “lay down”
✅ Is motivated by food and toys
✅ Has wonderfully coexisted with a calm female dog

Looking for a soulful connection with a big, sweet boy? Reach to [email protected] via email to schedule a met and greet with Baloo today! 🐾

Bring this pumpkin on a Fall DogVenture! 🎃🐶

Pumpkin carving, apple picking, campfires, scary movies... fall is here!

Why not enjoy it with a shelter dog? DogVentures let you take a pup out for a few hours, a day, or even a whole weekend.

Have fun, take lots of pics, and fill out a quick report card when you get back.

Your DogVenture could help them find their perfect match! 🧡

Frito absolutely crushed it at the FOTS' 5K for K9's this year! 🏃‍♀️🤩

He ran the whole thing at a great pace, then was ready for a big nap afterward! Frito is estimated to be 2 years old and he weighs 70 pounds. He rode well in the car, is housebroken, and seems to be dog friendly. Frito can be energetic and silly, but also super snuggly and chill.

Frito has been at the shelter for 2 months now, and we’d really love to see him trading in his kennel for a couch soon. 🧡

Been wanting a puppy? These 10-week-olds are available for adoption holds today! 🧡

Potential adopters must live in Franklin County, as these pups are too young to be spayed/neutered and need to go to intact “foster to adopt” homes.

“I cannot believe how resilient this little man is.” Meet Rex! 🦖🧡

Rex had an emergency amputation this week after suffering a gunshot wound to his leg. Friends of the Shelter completely funded his treatment, and he was placed in a medical foster home where he’ll stay as he recovers and gets ready for adoption.

Here’s what we know about this little guy:

✅ Done great with 2 cats in the home
✅ Awesome with the resident dog
✅ Quickly getting used to tripod life
✅ Loves his people more than anything
✅ Knows “sit” and “come”

Despite everything he’s been through, Rex is doing amazingly well. He’s adjusting quickly, showing off his sweet personality, and taking everything in stride.

Now we just need to find him a home. 🧡

Email [email protected] to schedule a meet and greet with Rex today!

Need an outlet for your puppy cravings? We understand. 😂🐶

Join us TOMORROW for Community Dog Walking! This event is FREE, no registration is required, and you can show up anytime between 9 AM and 12 PM to walk as many or as few dogs as you’d like around our fenced-in walking yard.

It’s a great way to get some fresh air, spend time with shelter dogs, and give them a much needed break from their kennels. It’s a win-win!

We’ll see you tomorrow! 🐾

Meet Ronnie Van Zant! ⚡🦅

Ronnie has become a bit of a shelter mascot over the past 2 months. He’s joined us at events, become a regular with our volunteer groups, and even got his own segment on Good Day Columbus today!

Now, we just need to get this boy HOME. 🧡

Ronnie is incredibly adaptable. If you want to play, he’s ready to play. If you want to relax, he’s happy to cuddle. He’s gentle with kids, great in large groups, and completely unfazed by loud music and distractions.

He’s also done well with calm dogs who are happy to just coexist.

Ronnie is ready for a home, and we’re ready to find him one. Come meet him at the shelter today! ❤️

ADOPTED! Congratulations to Sadie and her new family as they embark on their new journey together! 🥹❤️

Piper has been in the shelter for more than 2 months. 💛

Her sleepover report card was sooo good, yet she's had no adoption interest. She loves hanging out near her people, whether that means watching you cook or just chewing on a toy nearby. She’s gentle and calm, and loves to cuddle!

Piper would do best as the only pet in the home, and she’s looking for an adopter or a long-term foster who can give her a comfy spot to land.

Come meet Piper and see if she’s your girl. 🐾
