This bill addresses the urgent need to strengthen public school student transportation across our state, ensuring reliable funding and, most importantly, the safety of our kids getting to and from school.

As we celebrate the 100th anniversary for the celebration of Black History, it’s an important time to reflect on its impact on not just my own life but the lives of millions of citizens across the US. Today marks 24 years of remembrance for a day that changed our country. Close to 3,000 lives lost, countless families and friends personally affected, and a nation of people who know exactly where they were that day.

I was a student in DC that morning. My sister was in NYC.

“Never forget” isn’t just a phrase. It’s a reminder to hold tight to our values, justice, compassion, and unity.
