🎵🍔🕶️ Traveling Through the Decades: The Fabulous 1950s! 🕶️🍔🎵
As part of Atlas Senior Living's "Traveling Through the Decades" celebration, Legacy Reserve At Old Town has been cruising through the iconic 1950s all month long! Our newest residents were treated to a nostalgic trip back in time as our Activities Team transformed the day into a classic 50s diner experience.
From vintage décor and old-fashioned fun to delicious diner-inspired treats, residents enjoyed reminiscing about sock hops, jukebox tunes, poodle skirts, and the golden age of rock 'n' roll. It was a wonderful opportunity to share memories, make new friends, and celebrate the era that helped shape so many of their stories.
A huge thank you to our Activities Team for creating such a memorable event and helping our residents continue to make new memories while honoring the past.

At Legacy Reserve at Old Town, every day is an opportunity to create moments of joy, connection, and purpose. 🏖️🏌️‍♀️
Our Memory Care residents recently enjoyed a favorite activity—Beach Ball Golf! Using colorful pool noodles and a beach ball, residents worked on hand-eye coordination, mobility, focus, and social engagement while sharing plenty of smiles and laughter along the way.
Activities like these are more than just fun—they help promote physical movement, cognitive stimulation, and meaningful interaction in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
At Legacy Reserve, we believe that even the simplest games can create the biggest memories. 💛🐝

Please join us in congratulating Georgette Ware, our June Associate of the Month!
Georgette has been part of the Legacy Reserve family for nearly two years and officially joined the hive about six months ago. With nearly 15 years of experience in personal care, Georgette brings compassion, dedication, and a true heart for helping others into everything she does.
Georgette says, “I have been taking care of others my entire life. I have a passion for helping others. My favorite moments are right after I’ve helped someone and they smile.”
That heart shows in the level of care she gives each resident. Her kindness, patience, and compassion make a difference every single day.
Outside of work, Georgette enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, attending cookouts, shopping, and loving on her four children and five grandchildren.

🌟 June Resident of the Month: Dorothy “Dot” Eley Poss 🌟
Legacy Reserve at Old Town is proud to celebrate Dorothy “Dot” Eley Poss as our June Resident of the Month!
Dot has called Legacy Reserve home for seven months. Before making her move, she prayed for God to make it clear if Legacy was where she was meant to be — and one thing after another fell beautifully into place. Today, Dot says she is confident she made the right decision.
“I love the security and comfort of Legacy. I have great friends and kind neighbors. I can’t ask for much more.”
To know Dot is to know kindness, warmth, and joy. She is a proud mother of two and lovingly known as “Dot Dot” to her granddaughter. After retiring from teaching in the Gwinnett County School System, Dot has continued to live life with purpose and adventure.
Here at Legacy Reserve, Dot serves as the Ambassador for our first-floor residents and is always involved — from water aerobics to community activities. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, and spending time with family. She has traveled the world, including Australia, South America, and Europe, and has even hiked along the Appalachian Trail.
Dot plans to continue traveling, discovering new hiking spots, and embracing every adventure ahead.
Life is full of wonders, and Dot welcomes the adventure with joy. We are so proud to honor her as our June Resident of the Month! 💛
