Starting Monday, Oct. 5, the intersection at Smoky Row Rd and Summit View Blvd will close for approximately two weeks during storm sewer and sidewalk construction. Watch for road closure signage and follow the posted detour signage.

We hosted our third annual Central Ohio Snow Plow Roadeo and Snow Emergency Briefing in partnership with the Central Ohio Chapter of the American Public Works Association! ❄️🚜

Public works teams from across the region put their skills to the test on the snow plow obstacle course while sharing ideas and preparing for the winter season ahead.

Congratulations to our Mobility Intern D'Laveance Bert-Sims on becoming a 2026-2028 recipient! The prestigious Voyager Scholarship was created by the Obamas and Brian Chesky, CEO and Co-Founder of Airbnb, to help shape young leaders who are ready to make their mark in public service.

D'Laveance has been with the Columbus Department of Public Service for nearly two and a half years, where he has demonstrated a strong passion for serving others and a commitment to building a safer, more connected world for people walking, biking or taking transit. President of the Bronzeville Neighborhood Association and community advocate Willis Brown celebrated the groundbreaking of the Bronzeville/Mount Vernon Safety Improvements alongside Mayor Andrew J. Ginther, Columbus Department of Public Service and Department of Neighborhoods Columbus. These improvements are a major Vision Zero Columbus win and will create a safer, more connected neighborhood where our children feel safe walking and families are comfortable biking.
