Ohio National Guard Enlisted Association ONGEA exists to promote the status, welfare, and professionalism of the enlisted members of the Ohio National Guard Thank you for your support and membership.

VISION:
The Ohio National Guard Enlisted Association (ONGEA) will:

•Be an advocate for the enlisted members of the Ohio National Guard to enhance their quality of life.
•Provide a forum that enables enlisted members to influence change assuring the prosperity of the Ohio National Guard.
•Establish an atmosphere in which enlisted members have the opportunity to achieve individual career goals. VAL

•RECOGNITION - to honor outstanding achievements through an aggressive awards program. Although ONGEA has had most of its success in effective legislation benefiting Ohio National Guard members, there are many other reasons to join. ONGEA is successful in selecting programs that benefit Ohio National Guard members and their families. As a paid member of ONGEA, you also become a member of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States - EANGUS. Your membership in EANGUS entitles you to additional features and benefits. 👉ONGEA teamed up with Ohio National Guard Association members early today, making our case in opposition of Ohio House Bill 748, which would establish a new "Armed Forces Reserve Component Scholarship Program."

This tuition program would directly compete with the Ohio National Guard Scholarship Program, and shift state dollars toward federal reserve forces that do not serve the Governor or Ohio communities.

About 10 ONGEA and ONGA members split into groups of 2 or 3 to meet with 28 legislators throughout the day, explaining firsthand how this bill would undermine recruiting, retention, funding stability, and the Guard’s ability to serve Ohio. 💪

Please join us in congratulating MSgt Matthew Choiniere on being named the Air National Guards Safety Senior NCO of the Year 👏

He led a 72-hour combat readiness inspection that earned the highest possible score, an achievement reached by only 5% of units, and ensured zero mishaps across five major exercises. His leadership also drove major safety improvements across the wing, strengthening readiness and accountability.

Well deserved recognition for an Airman making a real impact every day 🇺🇸

ONGEA is excited to co-host the Women Veterans Engage 2026 Conference! Come celebrate Ohio’s women in uniform: past, present, and the supporters who stand with them at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on Saturday, May 30 from 11am to 3:30pm.

Enjoy refreshments and networking, followed by presenters to include keynote speaker Shelly Rood, Army Intelligence Leader and Founder of Mission Ambition, LLC, and Judy Pearson, Air Force Veteran and Ohio Ambassador for the Military Women’s Memorial. You'll even have a chance to explore the NVMM and take in some of its most powerful exhibits before it closes at 5pm.

Join Ohio Military Kids and Ohio National Guard Youth Programs for a week of learning and excitement.

Teens will have a 5 day and 4 night adventure diving deeper into their leadership, resilience, and life skills. They will learn and practice these skills while making lifelong friends. Activities may include rock wall climbing, swimming, kayaking, volleyball, high ropes, soccer, ziplining, archery, line dances, crafts, campfire, and more! Join us for all the camp excitement with a purposeful focus on building effective, resilient leaders.
