Formerly Interpreting and Sign Language Resources (ISLR) at the Ohio School for the Deaf (OSD), currently support to educational interpreters across the state of Ohio is being provided through State Wide Services (SWS) at OSD. ISLR was founded as a joint venture between the OSD and the OEC at the ODE in response to a teacher licensure law that required educational interpreters to have licenses & o

n-going professional development. Although the department itself is no longer funded or functioning in the original form, OSD remains intentional in it's commitment to supporting educational interpreters throughout the state.
