And introducing another new team member!!
“My name is Kelly Williams. I am from Columbus, Ms. I have participated in numerous music ensembles for over twelve years. My primary instrument is the clarinet. I am an alum of East Mississippi Community College and The Mississippi University for Women. While at EMCC, I was the Drum Major of the Mighty Lion Band for two marching seasons, was inducted as a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and graduated with Manga Cum Laude. After receiving my Associate from East, I transferred to The Mississippi University for Women. At both institutions, I participated in each wind and jazz ensemble. I was the lead chair in the wind ensemble each year. While at MUW, I embedded myself in the community and received recognition in various activities. I graduated from MUW Cum Laude. While at Columbus, I hope to motivate and teach your children the importance of music and how it speaks when we are at a loss for words. Thank you.”
Ms. Williams will be serving as our Columbus Middle school lead band teacher and assistant band director at Columbus High School. We are excited to have you on board, and happy to have you as part of the BOC team!!!!
