It’s that time again. We sure hope to see you out there this Saturday at eight. Our community cleanups are perhaps one of the best ways to take action in the solution to one of the rivers greatest challenges.

Whatever your stance is on the proposed data center I encourage you to please consider calling your City Council members (all of them if possible ) now through Tuesday and expressing your thoughts concerning the proposed zoning overlays surrounding the Data Center. The implementation of caps (consumption caps) are the most effective way to discourage future unregulated development. Trust and transparency are two of the most important components to which we need to be holding our representatives accountable. It has been made clear to me that a zoning ordinance will be passed. It is up to us as a community to tell our city council members to make this ordinance as definitive as possible for all future development not just this current challenge. Thank you to St. Thomas Episcopal Church for hosting the G.I.P.L. Green Summit Circle this morning. This was a wonderful opportunity to hear information regarding current energy consumption trends in our state.

Week 2 is a wrap. Some areas are experiencing spikes in comparison to the average readings. This is not uncommon due to the amount of rainfall we have had over the past week. I am so grateful we are not experiencing the same things the river is enduring in Atlanta currently. Please support our efforts by donating at the link in our bio.

May has come and passed and blessed us with new shifting trends that make springtime so enjoyable. This balance of cool and warm weather has supported our local ecosystem in its own unique way. My personal astonishment of the pure beauty that the river holds for our valley continues to blossom through the opportunity to further engage with both the plants and the people in this community. In this time of growth and preparation for new life, I invite each of you to lay down your self-driven intentions and embrace love for the things that we all cherish. Continue to spread your light in your own individual manner. All the while, continuing to make our community a better place for each of us.
