Ohio voters are deeply concerned about corruption, poll shows
When asked, “How much of a problem do you think corruption in government is in the United States today?” two-thirds of Ohio voters said it was a very serious problem.

Yet another poll — this one in Ohio — shows that a huge majority of voters hate corruption and would vote for candidates who oppose it.

Judge blocks Trump administration from airing taxpayer-funded campaign-style ads
The lawsuit challenging the commercials was brought by a coalition including the advocacy group Common Cause.

A coalition of nonprofits had sued, calling the ads “propaganda.” The president has said campaign funds would be used to pay for the commercials going forward.

Opinion from Leila Atassi, Plain Dealer manager public interest and advocacy:
The irony is that an amendment intended to safeguard elections could ultimately undermine them. Technology evolves. Photo IDs may be today’s standard, but tomorrow could bring far more secure ways to verify voters. Why handcuff future lawmakers to an aging technology, potentially requiring another constitutional amendment just to modernize? The Ohio Constitution should protect the principle of election integrity, not permanently enshrine one method of achieving it.
