The Students for Justice in Palestine at The Ohio State University (SJP OSU) is a democratic organization consisting of students, faculty, and community members that aspire to raise awareness of the brutality of the occupation through education and activism. SJP opposes the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine and the human rights abuses committed against the Palestinian people. Although group

members may differ in ideology, we agree that the Palestinian people must ultimately be able to decide their future in Palestine; the following principles grounded in international law, human rights, and basic standards of justice are fundamental to a just resolution to the plight of the Palestinians:

- An end to colonial systems of governance in the West Bank, Gaza, and Israel
- An end to the illegal Israeli military occupation of the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem (per UN Resolution 242)
- An end to the blockade of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian territories
- Withdrawal and end to the illegal Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories
- Recognition and implementation of the Right of Return for all Palestinian refugees and their descendants (per UN Resolution 194)
- An end to the Israeli system of apartheid and discrimination against the indigenous Palestinian population

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be selling this year’s SJP OSU merchandise at Baladna’s Palestine Day, at The Makoy, from 12-5PM, with a portion of proceeds going towards supporting the

The front design displays “فلسطين عن نتخلى لن” which means “We will not give up on Palestine” in Arabic. The back displays the phrase “فلسطين حرة” which means “Free Palestine”, along with a dove, which is known to be a symbol of peace, as well as a depiction of hope, resilience, and freedom among Palestinians. A limited number of T-shirts and hoodies will be available in black and beige and in sizes S-2XL. Get your hands on merchandise before the start of the school year.

As our university continues to finance the Palestinian genocide, join us in community as we reground ourselves at the close of yet another academic year—recommitting to the work before us, honoring our martyrs, and passing on the mantle of struggle for Palestinian liberation and beyond.

While we celebrate graduation, we cannot forget about Palestinians in Gaza that have been stripped of theirs, where no universities remain and where education has been harbored through non-traditional means under tents as active bombardment ravages their lands. We must remain rooted in this reality and we can only appreciate our milestones within this abhorrent dichotomy.

NO COMMENCEMENT UNTIL DIVESTMENT! WEAR YOUR KUFFIYEHS TO GRADUATION!

There are no universities left in Gaza. Every single one has been destroyed. Hundreds of educators and students have been brutally murdered. Young children, not yet of school age, have been murdered. The bombing and massacres have not halted.

It is our moral imperative to center and include Palestine in our commencement ceremony celebrations. We urge our community to wear symbols of solidarity with Palestine and take autonomous action as they deem appropriate. Please send any photos and videos to showing solidarity with Palestine! 🇵🇸🇵🇸

We’re proud to announce 100% of our proceeds from Raise the Kuffiyeh will go to The Peace Dove, a non-profit organization that delivers humanitarian aid and global relief. They distribute baby formula in Gaza, provide mental health services, food, shelter, medical care, and education to newly orphaned children in Gaza. Their campaigns also include hospital renovation to rebuild destroyed hospitals including Al-Shifa Hospital, Indonesian Hospital, Al-Rantisi Hospital, and Al-Aqsa Hospital. As well as Peace Dove Bakeries, Peace Dove Academy & Schools, and much more to deliver support and aid in a dignified and respectful manner.

Check out our incredible vendors at Raise the Kuffiyeh this year! Come by and shop around for some incredible handmade items, Palestinian-inspired goods, kuffiyehs, and more! Our vendors include Balady Stitch, Pali Vibes, Palestine Justice Effort, and The People’s Press Cleveland!
We would like to thank our incredible vendors, who are a vital part of our community.

Balady Stitch- A collaborative Palestinian small business that sells handmade embroidered and Palestine-inspired items, including beautiful tatreez goods made by women in Gaza.
Pali Vibes- A Palestinian-Muslim owned small business which sells Palestinian goods and printed merchandise.
Palestine Justice Effort- An apparel brand highlighting causes for justice and liberty, and a charity partner that raises funds for humanitarian relief efforts.
The Peoples Press Cleveland- An independent, community-rooted multimedia and news publication that that aims to uplift communities in Cleveland who are often overlooked by mainstream media.
