Nehemiah House of Refuge Nehemiah House of Refuge (NHR) agency is committed to improving the quality life of men.

*Organizes, represents and advocates for disadvantaged, veterans and homeless men to attack and eliminate the causes of illiteracy.

*Provides information and referral services that allow men to advocate for themselves, develop problem solving skills and community connections. Through self-advocacy, people obtain needed resources and information to improve the quality of their lives.

mmunity education, advocacy and outreach for men to help them meet their basic needs.

*Provides advocacy for social and economic change that will bring quality, accessible training to all men.
