Capital University Law School: Women's Law Association The purpose of the Women’s Law Association (WLA) of Capital University is to enhance the academic

Goals: This year our goals are (1) to increase membership activity, (2) build stronger working relationships with the Professional Women's Legal Associations based in Ohio, and (3) endow the Susan Gilles WLA Scholarship Fund."

- Our faculty adviser is Professor Susan Gilles.
- Our goal is to continue to be one of the most active organizations on campus, and to address the many issues facing women

in law school and in the legal profession.
- We are one of the only Organizations to fund a Student Scholarship. The Susan Gilles Scholarship is awarded annually to one day and one evening member of the WLA.

Our Story

Purpose: The purpose of the Women’s Law Association (WLA) of Capital University Law School is to enhance the academic and social experience of all women law students, and to foster interaction between the law school and the legal community.

Mission: WLA operates to improve women’s status within the legal profession, identify the barriers women face, and to develop educational programs and projects to assist all students in further understanding issues that face today’s legal professionals.
