We are so excited and geared up the annual Milo-Grogan Civic Association
KickButt event this Saturday March 21st!
TEAM MILO-GROGAN NEIGHBORS & FRIENDS WILL BE CLEANING RAMP I-71 & E 5th Ave, North East Corner
9:30 AM – 1:00 PM at Wolfe Park (105 Park Dr, Columbus, OH 43209)
Parking:
Free parking is available at Wolfe Park near the shelter house.
What to Wear & Bring
Please wear closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Safety vests will be provided and should be worn so that volunteers remain visible to traffic.
Gloves, grabbers, and trash bags will also be provided.
This is a rain-or-shine event, so please plan accordingly.
Waivers & Team Communication
All volunteers must sign a waiver before participating. If anyone still needs a copy, we will have extra waivers available at check-in.
Safety Guidelines
Volunteers should only pick up items they feel comfortable handling.
Stay on the ramps or on the adjoining streets. DO NOT go on to the highways.
If you encounter large or hazardous items, please leave them in place and notify our team so we can arrange proper disposal.
Cleanup Areas
While our focus will be on highway ramps, volunteers are welcome to continue cleanup into nearby neighborhoods as well if your group finishes early or prefers to work in those areas.
Trash Bag Placement
Once bags are full:
Tie them securely.
Place them at corners accessible to a refuse truck.
If possible, stack bags together at one corner rather than spreading them out. This helps ensure efficient pickup.
