Join us in congratulating Lt. Alyson Eichel for graduating the FBI National Academy yesterday!

The FBI National Academy is an intensive 10 week training in Quantico, Virginia focusing on advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training. Officers from 44 states and 28 different countries graduated with the 299th class.

Lt. Eichel has served with CPD for nearly 14 years, steadily working her way up from a patrol officer. Throughout her career, she has taken on roles as a field training officer, crisis negotiator, uniform sergeant, and uniform lieutenant. She played a key role in establishing our crisis intervention team and has trained many officers on how to better communicate with individuals in crisis. She currently serves as CPD’s operations lieutenant, where she leads the department’s officer wellness initiatives, including the peer support team, employee assistance program, annual officer physicals, and annual mental health check-ins.

Update: Crossing Lane and 225 W are open.

Traffic Alert! S 225 W is currently closed between W 200 S and Deaver Road. Cross Lane is also closed between W 200 S and W 300 S. A traffic crash took down a pole causing lines to be down in the road on 225 W. This also pulled lines down on Crossing Lane. I65 is still open. Please use an alternate route until crews can get the road back open. Luckily no injuries were reported.
