"The SMP program allows you to pursue a bachelor's degree while you serve as an enlisted Soldier in the National Guard and a Cadet in your schools ROTC program. At the end of your ROTC career, you commission as a 2LT in the Army."

"As a Cadet within the National Guard, my monthly drill gives me a perspective of both the officer and enlisted side. My usual drill schedule includes both field work and learning under squad leaders and team leaders as well as working with officers and seeing what their job consists of.
