Gainey Cup - Best Scout Squad Competition

Gainey Cup - Best Scout Squad Competition The official Gainey Cup Competition page. Continue to check back regularly for information The U.S. government directly.

The Gainey Cup Competition showcases the competence, physical and mental stamina, and competitive spirit of Reconnaissance Soldiers, serving in Recon and Cavalry Formations. Army Armor School will recognize the Army’s “Best Scout Squad” by running them through a gauntlet of rigorous reconnaissance and security events. These events will challenge your Scouts’ physical and mental ability to conduct

reconnaissance and security operations in close proximity to enemy forces and civilian populations, while informing the commander's Priority Intelligence Requirements. They must be able to employ fires, enablers and report to develop situational understanding. Finally, the Scout Squad will be evaluated on their ability to provide early warning and decision space for the commander, developing the situation when necessary through direct action. This page hosts approved information from the Cavalry and Armor Association and U.S. Army Armor School, but is not affiliated with the U.S. Rules of Engagement…

For full transparency, they will be covering the event this year as the official source. There have already been some complaints in our inbox about the lack of coverage for this competition versus those in the past.
Supporters of this great event need to know there's a lot going on at multiple levels that affect coverage right now, from Brigade level, all the way up the Secretary of Defense's Office.
The people on MCoE PAO's team are amazing, so we're asking you to throw your full support behind them as they do everything they can to bring you as much coverage from the field as possible during this event. No single office has the infrastructure to cover an event with this many teams and training areas, at the level we have in the past, without augmentees. It's challenging with so many changes coming from the top down so quickly, so your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Good morning world and Happy New Year!
Before we start making posts for Gainey Cup 2025, we want to send a couple of quick PSA/reminders.

This is the ONLY Gainey Cup page. You WILL see copycat pages, they may be named something like Gainey Cup Live or another variation. In the past, those have all been overseas spam and hack accounts. Be just as vigilant online as you are in person.

316th Cavalry Brigade U.S. Army Armor School Thunderbolt Chapter of United States Cavalry and Armor Association Office of the Chief of Armor U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence 982nd Combat Camera Company (Airborne) may also be posting before, during, and after the competition. Those are their official pages.

We will be sharing more than we generate this year and we're encouraging everyone to follow the pages that we share from.

https://www.armorweek.com/ is a place that we archive past competition results, pics etc. It is not the official hub for information. Any information on the site came straight from a unit under Armor School, however, to see more about the competition, visit https://www.moore.army.mil/Armor-Week/ and watch out for updates. However, the contact us form on the site goes straight to the Gainey Cup planning cell https://www.armorweek.com/contact

Please continue to be polite and professional on here. Followers are subject to being blocked for posting comments that are targeting individuals, violate EO policy, or explicit in nature. Know that many foreign actors acting in bad faith visit and post comments on every major military page. Please do not accept friend requests from anyone that you do not know personally.

Let's have a great competition this year. Your support over the years is truly what makes Armor Week so amazing.
