The Ohio Legislative Black Caucus (OLBC) mourns the passing of former State Representative Bill Patmon, a dedicated public servant and tireless advocate for his community.
Representative Patmon devoted his career to uplifting the people of Ohio, using his voice in the legislature to fight for fairness, opportunity, and justice. His commitment to community-centered leadership left a lasting impact both inside the Statehouse and throughout the neighborhoods he proudly served.
“Representative Patmon’s legacy is one of service, courage, and deep love for his community,” said Terrence Upchurch, President of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus. “As someone who had the honor of succeeding him in the same House district, I stand on his shoulders. His work laid the foundation for the progress we continue to fight for today, and I am grateful for the path he cleared for leaders like myself.”
