❤️ At Rosie’s House, it’s about more than moving boxes. It’s about coming together to make a difference.

Over the past several weeks, Assisted Living Locators of East Columbus has been leading the way in helping a husband and wife navigate their transition to their next chapter, with Rosie’s House working alongside them to support the family through the process.

Like many life transitions, the journey has brought unexpected turns and changing needs. As we worked together, we recognized that some important essentials were still needed to help make their new space feel like home — from bedding and towels to bathroom supplies, hangers, and everyday necessities.

With the support of the Franklin County Task Force on Aging “Change for Change”
Program, Rosie’s House was able to pull together the supplies needed to help both clients settle in with comfort, dignity, and care. ❤️

We’re grateful to partner with Assisted Living Locators as they guide this transition and to Franklin County Task Force on Aging for helping us fill the gaps that can sometimes be overlooked during a move.

Because sometimes, making a difference means looking beyond the moving boxes, recognizing what’s missing, and working together to make sure people have what they need for a fresh start.

That’s the heart of Rosie’s House — supporting seniors through life’s transitions and helping turn a new space into a place that feels like home.

🧸 A Little Rosie’s House Story

Every now and then, at Rosie’s House, we come across something that makes us stop packing for just a minute. ❤️

Today it was a little collection of Fisher-Price toys—bright red barns, tiny people, trucks and cars that have clearly been very well loved over the years.

And look at these two little guys! 🥹 They may be tiny, but they carry a whole lot of childhood in those little faces.

It’s easy to look at a box of old toys and see things that need to go.

Rosie sees something different.

She sees little hands that once played with them.
Grandchildren gathered around the floor.
Imaginary farms, road trips and adventures.
And a whole lot of happy memories.

That’s one of the sweetest parts of what we do at Rosie’s House. We’re not just packing up a home—we’re helping families figure out what pieces of their story get to come along. ❤️

And sometimes, a little Fisher-Price farmer gets a second chance to make someone smile. 🥰

“Do you guys do estate sales?” 🏡

We get asked this one a lot! While Rosie’s House doesn’t conduct estate sales, we do help connect our families with the right resources when they have items they’d like to sell.

Depending on what they have and what they’re looking for, that might be a local antique dealer, consignment shop, or even guidance on selling through Marketplace.

We try to help families understand their options so they can choose what makes the most sense for their items, their timeline, and their situation.

Because at Rosie’s House, we’re here to help with more than just packing boxes. We’re here to help make a complicated transition a little easier.
