FCOA had a great time at the 4th Annual Buckeye Tailgate Party, connecting with community members, sharing resources and enjoying an afternoon of fun and fellowship.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make the event a success. We’re always glad to be out in the community connecting older adults and caregivers with the programs and services available to them.

The 4th Annual Buckeye Tailgate Party is tomorrow! 🏈

Join us Wednesday, October 7 from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at the Memorial Hall Parking Lot, 280 E. Broad Street for food, music, friends and plenty of Buckeye spirit.

Wear your Buckeye gear and stop by to enjoy food from Schmidt’s Sausage Haus, Dos Hermanos, Pasta Stop and The Drank Tank. Plus, the OSU Cheerleaders will be joining us from 12:00–12:30 p.m.

We had a great time at the 2nd Annual Heart & Sole | Senior Heart & Foot Wellness Expo at Polaris Fashion Place! ❤️👟

Older adults came together for a morning focused on movement, education and healthy aging. Attendees enjoyed wellness screenings, fitness demonstrations, expert discussions, community resources and some fun line dancing that kept the energy going throughout the event.

A special thank you to all of the vendors and community partners who came out to share resources and support our older adults. We also want to thank GetCr8v for hosting a great event and helping keep the party alive all day long!

Director Chanda Wingo recently joined the Rick & Reese Show alongside Maurice Clarett, former Ohio State football player, to talk about healthy aging and the upcoming 2nd Annual Heart & Sole Senior Heart & Foot Wellness Expo. ❤️

Clarett owns 52 foot-and-ankle practices across Ohio, offering care ranging from routine and pediatric services to specialized treatment and surgery. After connecting with Director Wingo last year, the two partnered for this year’s Heart & Sole event.

During the interview, Director Wingo emphasized that mobility and cardiovascular health go hand in hand and shared how FCOA events create opportunities for older adults to meet others and build meaningful social connections.
