Today had planned DeSoto County’s 1st Town Hall meeting to discuss
What Is Happening In America Today?
(We've had to cancel because of the . )
One of our speakers,
Rear Admiral Barnett (retired) provided this powerful YouTube message about the dangers we are facing because of the Trump administration.
We urge you to watch Rear Admiral Barnett 's video and to VOTE for for and for in the upcoming Democratic Primary election on March 10th, 7am-7pm.
Please vote absentee ( if you qualify) when the weather is nice. Absentee voting is happening M-F at all Mississippi County Circuit Clerk’s offices 8am-5pm and these 3 Saturdays: 2/7, 2/28 and 3/7, 8am-noon. March 7th is the last day for in-person person absentee voting. Please note, as of December 24, 2025, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) generally postmarks mail based on the date it is processed at a regional facility rather than the date it was dropped into a mailbox or at a post office counter. This new rule means mail, especially if dropped may receive a postmark date that is one or more days after it was mailed which can cause problems with mailed absentee ballots, so don't dally.
is a nationwide movement of millions of people working to stop the rise of authoritarianism in the United States and to demand a real democracy. We believe that politics is too important to leave up to the politicians – it requires all of us to get on the field.
Our vision is a democracy that delivers for everyone—not just the wealthy or well-connected. We are committed to nonviolent action, multiracial democracy, and a government that is accountable to the people it serves.
