Some visions take years of conversations, planning, relationship-building, and people believing that something bigger is possible.

Today, the official Board of Trustees was announced for the — an incredible group of community leaders who have stepped forward to help shape, guide, and build this work in support of students, educators, families, and alumni of .

This moment feels incredibly special because it truly has been years in the making.

I’m deeply grateful to have played a role in helping bring this vision to life and excited about what can happen when a community comes together around opportunity, partnership, and long-term investment in young people.

Thankful for every conversation, every supporter, every collaborator, and every person who believed in this vision along the way.

There is still so much work ahead, but today feels like an important step forward.

Excited for what’s to come.❤️

Still taking this moment in. 💜

I’m deeply honored to be recognized with the 2025 Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan Award by . This moment is not just a celebration, it’s a reflection of what’s possible when purpose meets perseverance.

As I walked to that stage, I thought about 17-year-old me…
A teen mom. No safety net. No clear plan. Carrying labels the world tried to place on me.

But God had a different story.

And I thank Him every day for choosing me, broken and all.

What once felt like a setback became the foundation of my purpose.

Today, I stand not just for myself, but for every young girl, every woman, every person who has ever been underestimated, overlooked, or counted out.

Let this be a reminder: your story is not your limitation, it’s your power.

This moment is a responsibility.
To keep building.
To keep lifting others.
To keep creating pathways so the next generation can walk in rooms they once never imagined.

We are not just breaking barriers. We are building new doors.

We rise together. 💜

12/31/25 marks my final day completing my four-year term as an elected member of the Columbus City Schools Board of Education. 🍎

I carry deep pride and gratitude for the responsibility the voters of Columbus entrusted me with. Serving our students, families, educators, and community has been an honor that I do not take lightly.

While today marks the close of this chapter in an official capacity, my commitment to Columbus does not end here. I remain dedicated to the work ahead and to walking alongside this community in new ways.

Four years. Endless lessons. Deep gratitude.

As I shared my final remarks at the Columbus Board of Education, I reflected on the responsibility, growth, and community it takes to serve with integrity—especially during times of transition.

I am grateful for every educator, student, family, colleague, and community member who showed up, spoke up, and stayed engaged. This chapter closes with humility and appreciation—and the work of serving our community continues, just in new ways.🙏

Thank you, Columbus. 🤍

As I sit preparing for tomorrow’s Board of Education meeting, feeling the weight of some very hard decisions, I found myself circling back to my “why.” In that quiet moment, it hit me:
I have just 31 days left in my four-year term as an elected member of the Board of Education.

The realization brought a wave of emotion.😭 Serving in this role has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life, especially as a proud Columbus City Schools alumna who once walked the same hallways as the students I have been entrusted to serve.

To the voters, I continue to thank you for believing in me and giving me the privilege to represent our community.

To our students, you have been my daily inspiration. Your brilliance and resilience have fueled my purpose and kept me rooted in my “why.”

To our families and staff, thank you for your honesty, accountability, grace, and partnership. We have faced challenges together, and we are still navigating challenges even now. Your support has meant more to me than words can express.

This journey has not always been easy, but it has been deeply meaningful. As I enter this final month, I remain committed to finishing with humility, focus, and collaboration. In the weeks ahead, I will be sharing more reflections on what this experience has taught me and the hope I carry for our district’s future.

Thank you, Columbus. More to come. 💛
