It was a joy to celebrate Lunar New Year with the Columbus Chinese Academy. 🧧🎉

This school holds a special place in our family. My sons graduated from the Academy, and it meant a lot to return and celebrate alongside students, families, and educators who do so much to keep language, culture, and community strong.

Today, I was honored to join community members from across Columbus for the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day march and program hosted by the City of Columbus Department of Neighborhoods. It was meaningful to see neighbors come together to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy of service, justice, and dignity for all. His message continues to remind us of the importance of respect, understanding, and caring for one another in our daily lives.

Dozens braved the frigid weather to march in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 19, 2026.

Was so pleased to attend the Franklin County Young Democrats Holiday gathering on Friday last week. The energy and enthusiasm was off the charts for their guest speaker Dr. Amy Acton, Democratic candidate for governor. It was also great to speak with Mr. Acton, my son’s teacher and coach.

One thing I’m always thankful for is the people who show up and help make things happen. I’m grateful for the volunteers and friends who helped with the kickoff and continue to support this work.

My sons and I had a great time earlier this week at the Franklin County Democratic Party holiday event at the King Arts Center. The food was delicious and the Democratic spirit was loud and clear. It was great to see so many leaders and community members come together. I want to thank Chairman Michael Sexton and Executive Director Kim Agyekum for their hard work.

A Big Holiday thank you to the Clintonville Area Progressives for inviting me to their Holiday Party at El Vaqueros last night! I had a great time and the food was perfect. Thanks also for filling up my petition for my re-election campaign.
