Earlier this week I joined Columbiana City officials to tour the area’s new state-of-the-art emergency response trailer, highlighting a key investment in local emergency preparedness.
The mobile command post was made possible by a $250,000 appropriation included in House Bill 33 during the 135th General Assembly, which I was happy to champion. The funding supports Columbiana’s efforts to strengthen local emergency coordination and disaster response capabilities.
This mobile command unit will be a critical tool in keeping our community safe and ensuring first responders are equipped to act quickly and effectively in times of crisis.
The new trailer, designed and built by Mobile Concepts, provides a fully equipped, mobile emergency operations center capable of supporting local law enforcement, fire, EMS, and emergency management personnel during large-scale incidents, community events, or natural disasters.
