Our fire department has high quality equipment, a new fire station, and fire fighters thrilled to serve our community. Keep the same level of service and protection for your family and vote yes for the renewal of the fire levy on November 5th. This will not increase your taxes as it is a renewal!

If you missed last night's meeting make sure you look up the video when it is ready! Some really great things happening out at Lake Front if all goes as planned!!! And we might also see our Columbiana page getting reactivated or a new one...moving ahead and getting with the communication times! :) Oh and I asked for a traffic study to happen at Vine and Park as well as Elm and East Park because those intersections are sooooo busy!

Way to go Columbiana! Yes we may have growing problems here and there like traffic pattern flows and chickens... ( I had to!) but overall we have a very blessed community to call home. Congrats

100 years ago our community was blessed to be a stop on the route coast to coast of a military convoy. The reenactment stopped here as well. I love my community and the pride everyone has for it! We may not always agree on how to do things on City Council but we all agree we want what is best! What a great group of people I have had the privilege to serve with the past almost four years now!

We already won the title for Ohio now we are going for the Country!

I've been a little quiet lately because of track season but that season is almost at an end. Time to gear up for summer projects! What are your current concerns?

How do you want to hear from your City? Are you a newspaper person? Perhaps you rely on social media. Or do you look for handouts you can pick up at City Hall and Council meetings themselves? There are other options too and I want to hear from you about what your number one preference is.

At this time of year we look back at major projects the City took on in the previous year. Here are a few.

Storm Water--one of the ones I pushed for as often as I could!

CRA Creation. Let's see if we get the growth we project!

Firestone Family Visit--This was fun and a great opportunity for our community.

7 & 14 Project--those turning lane lights are still on back order but the turning lanes are in and traffic is flowing better than it has been in years!

Water Treatment Plant--This is one of my favorites! Loved watching it built from the ground up and the tours during the entire process were quite educational.

North Waterline Project--Learned a lot here too.

Fairfield Avenue Sidewalk--This has been a community builder!!!

K-9 Unit--The community support in this project was amazing and we have seen positive results from having a K-9 unit already!

Southside Fire Station--We no longer have to worry about what side of the tracks we live on in emergencies!

Streets paved--We had 15 streets and cemetery roadways paved this year.

Grants--Our City received 2,773,000 in free money this year. Much of what was used on projects listed above!

May this year be even more successful for Columbiana!
