Important Scientific Findings: What Are Our Littles MOST Excited About This School Year?

We conducted a highly scientific survey of 13 Littles, ranging from 1st–12th grade, to determine what they’re looking forward to most as they head back to school.

When asked, “The thing I’m MOST excited about this school year is…”

7.7% said: French II
7.7% said: Graduating
7.7% said: Being in 7th grade
7.7% said: Playing inside
15.4% said: Playing outside
7.7% said: Basketball
30.8% said: Seeing my friends and playing sports
7.7% said: Field trips
7.7% said: It ending

We weren't finished with our research! We also asked, “What is your favorite subject?”

The results were... educationally fascinating.

15.4% said: Reading
15.4% said: Math
7.7% said: Art
7.7% said: Band
7.7% said: PE
7.7% said: Math AND PE
7.7% said: French AND English
7.7% said: Group Time
7.7% said: Science
7.7% said: Recess
7.7% said: None

Our highly scientific conclusion: There is no single favorite when it comes to school, but friends, sports, reading, and math appear to be strong contenders. And apparently, recess is still holding its own in the academic rankings.

Further research may be required.

With school back in session, we hosted a Back-to-School Bash last Wednesday where our Littles could pick out school supplies and water bottles—and even personalize their new water bottles at our decoration station!

And of course, no bash is complete without a cookout!
Everyone enjoyed burgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill while celebrating the start of a new school year.

We had a busy weekend! 🎉

Celebrity Bartending at Pierpont General Store went off without a hitch! It was HOT, but the drinks were COLD—and together, we raised close to $3,000!

After a fun night serving up delicious cocktails on Friday, we were up bright and early Saturday morning at the farmers market, recruiting Bigs and spreading the word about the impact of mentorship.

Things are getting SERIOUS behind the bar…

Join us THIS FRIDAY at Pierpont General Store for their Celebrity Bartending Series—with a little friendly competition mixed in! 👀

We’ve pitted two of the most fabulous dames in nonprofit against each other, Ann Merrifield and Kerrie Bloss, and they’ve each created their very own signature cocktail.

YOU get to VOTE with your dollar!
Whose drink will come out on top? Only your taste buds—and your generosity—can decide!

There will be live music , a raffle , great people, good vibes, and perhaps just a tiny amount of competitive spirit.

And apparently… somebody has been taking this VERY seriously.

Countdown to Kickoff was an incredible success, thanks to YOU!

From the exciting live auction and jewelry raffle to the amazing food and drink, to Coach Drinkwitz's predictions for the upcoming football season, the energy and enthusiasm were felt by everyone in the room!

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was honoring our Match of the Year, Dennis Hazelrigg and Zach. Over the past four years, Dennis has been a dedicated Big, investing his time, encouragement, and guidance to help Zach grow into a confident young man. Their story is a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact that mentorship can have—not only on a Little, but on a Big as well.

We are truly honored and grateful to be part of such an incredible community. Your generosity, whether through your time, commitment, or financial support, continues to demonstrate just how much you care. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped make this event such a memorable success.
