On Juneteenth, we are proud to honor leadership rooted in service, vision and lasting impact.

Together SC’s Black Nonprofit Leaders Group has named Karriem Edwards, President of the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, the 2026 Joyce Gillespie Ford Black Nonprofit Leader of the Year.

Since 2022, Karriem has expanded the reach and impact of fatherhood programs across South Carolina, strengthened the statewide network serving fathers and families, and advanced his guiding vision to “Serve More Dads Better.”

His leadership is helping more fathers build stronger relationships with their children, strengthening families and communities across our state.
