🎥 A Message from Our Superintendent

As early voting begins, we want to thank our community for taking the time to stay informed about the upcoming millage renewal.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve worked to be transparent about our district’s financial challenges, answer questions, address concerns and provide information about how our schools are funded and how these dollars are used.

This millage is not a new tax. It is a renewal of funding that has supported Caldwell Parish Schools for decades and helps fund the day-to-day operations that keep our schools running.

In this video, our superintendent reflects on the importance of informed decision-making, community support and continuing the investment in public education that generations before us chose to make.

Thank you for your engagement, your questions and your commitment to the students of Caldwell Parish.

🎥 Faces of Caldwell 💙❤️

This week, we’re highlighting two individuals who help make Caldwell Parish Schools feel like family—CPJH Cafeteria Manager Crystal Buffington and School Bus Driver Sarah Housley.

For many students, Sarah is the first smile they see in the morning, and Crystal is a familiar face who helps make sure they are nourished and ready to learn. As you’ll hear in this video, their roles extend far beyond driving a bus or serving a meal. They build relationships, provide encouragement and help create a sense of belonging for the students they serve each day.

That’s what makes Caldwell Parish special. We are more than a school district. We are a family and a community that supports one another. From the classroom to the cafeteria to the bus route, every person plays a role in helping our students succeed.

These everyday connections and services are part of what keeps our schools strong and our students supported.

Despite financial challenges, Caldwell Parish Schools continues to seek additional resources that benefit our students and staff. This year alone, our district has secured more than $5.5 million in grant funding to support literacy, early childhood education, special education, career and technical programs and more.

In this week’s video, our superintendent shares how these investments are creating opportunities for students across our district and why stable local funding remains important to sustaining our schools.

🎥 Faces of Caldwell-Supporting Students and Families

This week, we’re highlighting two dedicated professionals whose work impacts students, families and schools across Caldwell Parish.

While Rebbie Johnson, our district social worker, and Tonya Green, our school psychologist, are based at the central office, most of their time is spent in our schools—working directly with students and helping families navigate challenges and access resources.

In this video, they share how the relationships they build and the support they provide help students thrive both in the classroom and at home. Their work often extends far beyond a single school year, creating connections that last for years.

Their stories are a reminder that supporting student success takes a team, and we are grateful for the care, compassion and expertise they bring to our schools every day.
