Two years ago, the City of Columbia experienced a devastating tornado that forever impacted our community. Today, we remember those affected, honor our community’s resilience, and reaffirm our commitment to public safety.

As part of that commitment, the City has installed a new emergency siren notification system featuring 12 strategically placed sirens across Columbia to strengthen emergency communication during severe weather events.

The City will conduct a city-wide tornado siren test on Monday, May 11, at 4:00 PM.

The safety of our citizens remains our highest priority, and the City will continue regular siren testing while keeping the public informed of future test dates and times.
