Yesterday, Sheriff Lott and members of our Command Staff, CAT and OPL team joined our Citizens Academy Alumni Association for the RCSD Back to School Bash, and our community SHOWED UP!

From face painting and bouncy houses to a bubble pit, games and local vendors, there was plenty to keep the kids busy. And the food trucks? If you could think of it, there was probably a truck serving it.

There was even an opportunity to give back while having fun, with a blood donation van on site for anyone who wanted to roll up their sleeve and help save a life! 🩸❤️

Events like this are about more than just having a good time. They’re about bringing deputies, families, local businesses and neighbors together and strengthening the relationships that make Richland County such a special place to call home.

Thank you to our Citizens Academy Alumni Association and everyone who came out to spend the day with us. Building a safer, stronger community starts with knowing the people we serve, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to come together with ours.

Bring your family and friends for an evening of community, food, and fun.

This free event is open to everyone and is a great opportunity to meet members of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, connect with your neighbors, and enjoy a fun evening together.

There will be a blood drive as well! Participants will receive a e-gift card and money will be donated to RCSD Foundation.
