BREAKING NEWS: We’re SUING TRUMP! 🏛️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
PFLAG National—along with transgender young adults and families with transgender youth and GLMA—is serving as a plaintiff in a federal legal challenge against the executive order from the Trump administration attempting to shut down nationwide access to necessary medical care for transgender people under 19.

We have always said it—and always meant it—that PFLAG National will NEVER back down in supporting each and every one of our family members. NOW, with the incredible work of our legal teams at ACLU, Lambda Legal, ACLU of Maryland, and law firms Hogan Lovells and Jenner & Block, we are taking powerful action.

“PFLAG parents are good and decent people who love their trans kids and want them to grow up to become thriving, happy, healthy adults. Yet, President Trump and other politicians maliciously harm our families by denying them access to physician-prescribed, medically recommended care. This order puts trans and nonbinary young people and their families at risk—and we’re not putting up with it.

“To every transgender and nonbinary youth and young adult, every parent, every family, know this: PFLAG National is not backing down from this fight; PFLAG’s got you.” —Brian K. Bond (he/him) CEO, PFLAG National

🚨 Breaking News: Trump’s latest executive order is yet another attack on trans rights, effectively banning all trans military service members.

"Every person who has the courage, the fortitude, and the skill to choose to wear the uniform in service of our country demands our respect and our gratitude. Last night's action to put transgender service members in the closet revisits the failed military policy of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' and demonstrates the extent of the president's disdain for those who serve. Our nation owes transgender members of the military, Coast Guard, and their families the same solemn duty as every service member: to ensure their ability to patriotically serve is not hampered by politics or personal agenda. PFLAG continues to fight for the right for every transgender service member to serve openly, as we have for decades." —Brian K. Bond (he/him) CEO, PFLAG National

Transgender people belong in our families, our communities, our workplaces, our schools, AND in service to our country. PFLAG will not rest until every LGBTQ+ person is safe, celebrated, empowered, and loved. 🏳️‍⚧️

This Straight for Equality Saturday, we're sharing tips on how to be a better ally when you make a mistake. Whether you misgendered someone by using the wrong pronouns by accident or used an outdated term, how you handle it can show your LGBTQ+ friend, loved one, or colleague that you care.
Here's our advice on what to do next:
Step 1. Acknowledge your mistake.
Step 2. Apologize* and correct yourself.
Step 3. Commit to doing better.
Step 4. Move on.

*If someone lets you know they don’t need or want an apology when you make
a mistake, believe them. Don’t linger on it—just be sure to put in the work to do better.
