A little action from first shift earlier today in Engine 30s first due area. Thank you Fort Jackson Fire Department for the assist

This is what the scene looked like when our 1st Shift crews arrived at a home on Knight Valley Circle this afternoon.

Firefighters found smoke pushing from all sides of the property and there was heavy fire working through the roof. All occupants of the home got out safely and there were no injuries.

The fire burned away much of the roof and two adults and one child have been left displaced. The fire was extinguished and its cause is currently under investigation.

Thank you to Fort Jackson FD for your assistance on this one.

Haven't posted in a while. Here's a quick video from a while back with our crew doing some drafting training with our neighbors from Engine 8 and Engine 22.

Big shout out to one of our station 30 volunteers for this achievement!

Just because some rain is expected, don't forget there is still a statewide burn ban in effect! The winds are still going to be high which will cause the rain to only last a few hours. Expect some part of the ground to remain dry in the coming days to potentially fuel additional grass and brush fires. Everyone stay safe

Another fire for our third shift at Engine 30 in the early hours of this morning.

Early Sunday morning our 3rd Shift crews responded to Crestlite Drive off of Bluff Road for a reported house fire.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene shortly after 4:45 a.m. Engine 3 called for a working fire while en route and found fire coming through the roof of the home on arrival.

The home was vacant at the time of the fire and no one was injured. Crews established a water supply, made entry into the home and got the fire under control and extinguished.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Some first due engine work for our second shift team this afternoon! Thank you to Fort Jackson Fire Department for the mutual aid assist.

Four people have been left displaced this afternoon following a fire at a home on Anwood Drive.

Our 2nd Shift crews responded to the home shortly before 12:45 p.m. Upon arrival they found smoke 💨 coming out of the eaves of the house.

Firefighters made entry and quickly got the fire under control. The fire started in the kitchen of the home and extended into part of the attic. There was also smoke damage throughout the property.

One pet was rescued and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking.

House fire from a couple days ago from our fellow battalion 4 members!

A look at what our 3rd Shift crews encountered when they arrived on scene at a house fire late Friday afternoon near Gadsden.

Firefighters responded to the home on S. Roy Road shortly before 5:30 p.m.

A water supply was established and the fire was brought under control and extinguished. After investigating it was determined a breach in the chimney caused the fire to escape and spread.

No one was injured. One person was left displaced.
