This is incredible, incredible work, Middle Tyger Community Center 🩡

In case you're not familiar, Middle Tyger serves the Upstate and is a part of our S.C. Family Support Network. They work so hard to meet their community's needs.

This new childcare campus in Spartanburg County is an example of that. You can read more about it in the news article we've linked in the comments.

Please join us in celebrating our newest group of certified trainers! πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸ½ Today, nine professionals from across the state completed our two-day Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Building Resilience Training-of-Trainers program. ⭐️

These educators, healthcare workers, advocates and child-serving professionals are now equipped to lead their own ACEs workshops and trainings, promote strategies that build resilience in children and families, and access ongoing training support.

Trainees learned how to build community understanding of ACEs, empower others to better support children and families, and foster healthier communities.

This professional development opportunity is designed for individuals who support families and is approved for 12.0 clock hours of continuing education by Mid-Carolina AHEC, Inc.

Interested in our next training session? Join us on November 18-19 for our last ACEs and Building Resilience training of 2026! Learn more from the comments below ⬇️

Hi everyone! Please be aware of this important work by the SC Joint Citizens & Legislative Committee on Children. πŸ§‘β€πŸ§‘β€πŸ§’β€πŸ§’

They're Fall tour is about to begin, and they've included all the information for each date so you can follow and get involved.

We'll see you there!

πŸ“’ Save the Date! The Committee on Children is pleased to announce the tentative schedule for our 2026 Fall Public Hearings. While final venue confirmations are still pending, we anticipate keeping the dates and locations as listed.

These hearings are an opportunity for South Carolinians to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas to help improve outcomes for children and families across our state.

If you plan to testify, attend as a listener, represent the media, or are a legislator, we encourage you to register in advance. While walk-in testimony may be accommodated, same-day registration and testimony opportunities will be limited.

πŸ“ RSVP links for each hearing location are available in the comments.

The Committee will also accept written testimony through October 21. Written comments and any questions regarding the hearings, registration, or accommodations may be sent to [email protected].

We look forward to hearing from communities across South Carolina and appreciate everyone who takes the time to participate in this important process.

So proud of Beth Lechner and Pollyanna Buff for representing SC Career Kids at the Building Hope for Children Conference 2026 with Children's Trust of South Carolina. Beth and Pollyanna shared how our programs from Safety Town to Career Kids Camps, empower young learners with confidence, safety skills, and real‑world readiness. We’re honored to be part of the statewide ecosystem supporting children and families. Thank you, Children’s Trust of South Carolina, for hosting such an inspiring event.
