In the recently released 2026 KIDS COUNT® Data Book from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, South Carolina ranked 38th overall in child well-being. This annual ranking is based on indicators across four key domains: economic well-being, education, health and family and community.

During this Learning Thursday session, attendees will gain insights into the latest KIDS COUNT data and what it means for children in South Carolina.

Who is Children's Trust?

We are the statewide organization focused on the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Through training, research and advocacy, we equip parents and professionals with knowledge, skills and resources to help children grow up happy, healthy and safe.

We invest in proven prevention programs, including home visiting for new moms, the Strengthening Families Program and Triple P (Positive Parenting Program).

In addition, we lead the state’s coordinated efforts for family resource centers, KIDS COUNT, prevention messaging and Child Abuse Prevention Month.

⚾ Baseball season is here, and we're asking our community to help us strike out child abuse!

Our online auction is now open, and every bid supports our work to prevent child abuse and build stronger families across South Carolina.
