It's time for the Fall Sale!!

This year, we'll have books both in the Friends Room and in the Garage again! Fiction will be outside - Romance, Mysteries, Fiction, and Science Fiction are in the garage bays. Indoors, we've got Non-Fiction (which includes Classics) - Humor, Handicrafts, Foreign Languages, Poetry, Reference Books, and more. There will also be music CDs, DVDs, vinyl albums, and the Specials Room with all sorts of unique goodies.

Saturday morning is members only from 9:00 until Noon - you can join at the door for $10, and the membership table will be staffed at 8:00 a.m.

The sale is open to everyone from Noon to 4:45 on Saturday, and 1:00 to 4:45 on Sunday.

Bring tote bags, and cash or your check book!

We are very busy getting ready for the Fall Sale this weekend, so tomorrow's Lobby Sale only has 5 carts instead of the usual 7. We're sending out Children's Books, Fiction, Bargain Non-Fiction, Humor, and Historical Collections, along with an assortment of music CDs.

NOTE: If you've been cleaning out the shelves and corners, we're really looking for music CDs for the weekly carts, and of course we can always use more books for upcoming sales! The big Fall Sale is coming up, along with the Fall Children's Sale in October, and Biography, Sci Fi & Fantasy, and Graphic Novels in October as well. If you have anything in those areas to donate, now is a perfect time!

Beat the heat this weekend by coming to our Lobby Sale on Saturday!

It's September, so our theme for the month is "Odds and Ends" while we focus on the Big Fall Sale next weekend. For Saturday, we'll have Fiction, Children's Books, This & That, Biography, Vintage Children's Books, History, and One Reads & Literature. Plus, Rock, Pop, Country & Bluegrass, and more CDs, only 50 cents each.

NOTE: If you've been cleaning out the shelves and corners, we're really looking for music CDs for the weekly carts, and of course we can always use more books for upcoming sales! The big Fall Sale is coming up, along with the Fall Children's Sale in October, and Biography, Sci Fi & Fantasy, and Graphic Novels in October as well. It's September, and tomorrow we are having a small Pop-Up Sale in place of a First Wednesday sale. We'll only have 5 carts, but we've got a little something for everyone. Fiction, Children's Books (look for the kids' music on the bottom shelf!), Humor, Little Gift Books, and a full cart of TV Shows on DVD, at great prices. Plus, Rock, Pop, Jazz, and more CDs, only 50 cents each.

It's the last Saturday of the month, so it's time for the Odds & Ends sale! This weekend, we'll have Fiction, Children's Books, Literature, Bargain Non-Fiction, a cart of great jigsaw puzzles, the 10-for-$1 DVD cart, and a cart full of Stephen King, Dune, and other science fiction. We've also got some great 50-cent CDs, like Country, Folk, Pop & Rock, and more.

Next week, look for our Pop-Up Sale in the Lobby on Wednesday! We don't usually do a First Wednesday sale in September, since the Fall Sale is the same month, but this year, we'll have a small sale in the Lobby. Check back next week to see what we come up with for the carts!

As of right now, the library is open (as far as I can tell). Stay tuned for updates.

If the library is open at noon, the following carts will be in the Lobby Sale:

Vintage books, half-price Languages, half-price Reference & Textbooks, Children's Books, Missouri Connections, Fiction, and Historical Collections. And of course, plenty of music CDs, for folks who are into physical media instead of streaming.

While the library is closed, how about a small preview of something we'll have at the Fall Sale next month?

In the Specials Room, among other things, we'll have some vintage LaserDisc movies that were donated this summer. These are just a few of what will be in the sale. Know someone who's into retro entertainment? Share this with them!
