Community Empowerment Center

Community Empowerment Center Working together for healthier communities! Phase I- June 2010 we conducted a Photovoice project with adult and children members of the community.

We are using a three phase process, funded by the Kresge Foundation Grant, to help empower the community so they can better it themselves. They took photos of the strengths and weaknesses they saw in the community. Phase II- September 2011 we are setting up the CEC to help residents create their own community-level programs to improve the neighborhood. Whether it's art projects, new lighting, comm

unity gardens, or neighborhood clean-ups, we'll help you design a program that addresses the concerns of the community. Phase III- February 2012 we will award the top three proposals with mini-grants to fund their projects. The CEC will be there to help anyone get their proposal in motion. Letters of Intent due November 1st! Advisory Council Applications due November 1st! RFA due December 1st!
