Approaching the end of 2025, it's incredible to think what 2026 will hold for Columbia's Agriculture Park. Next year, the Community Welcome Center will become a reality. This will greatly expand Columbia Farmers Market and Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture's programming, but we need YOUR help to make it happen!

Hear from Abbey Mitchell, proud CFM vendor and owner of Abbey’s Swahili Delights CoMo , on what the Community Welcome Center will mean for vendors like her.

Since 2019, Columbia’s Agriculture Park has built a year-round home for Columbia Farmers Market, installed beautiful demonstration gardens, a one-room schoolhouse, custom playground, a barn, and a greenhouse to grow food for local hunger relief, but we’re not done yet!

There is one more puzzle piece–the park’s Community Welcome Center. This new building will provide permanent space for Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture and Columbia Farmers Market, it will host space for educational programs in the kitchen, and it will provide affordable meeting space for community members in Columbia’s First Ward.

Follow along as we watch the Community Welcome Center come to life and learn what it means for our farmers, families, and future generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who added their signature to our Community Welcome Center's future support beam! We loved celebrating this milestone progress of this building togetherđź’™

This whole project is a result of the groundswell of support and interest in making our mid-Missouri food system more resilient and robust.

Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture, Columbia Farmers Market, and Parks & Rec are all honored and humbled to be a part of this project and grateful for the hundreds of donors who've helped make it happen. We've asked people to dig deep, and time and time again, the community has responded in a generous way. Thank you!

We need YOUR help to close out this last leg of the effort. Please consider making a MAJOR gift in 2025 and the years ahead to help this innovative and impactful project. Learn more at:

In 2020, most of Columbia's Agriculture Park was sitting empty. Today, it boasts winding nature trails, thriving production fields, interactive garden space, a playground for our community, and an award winning Farmers Market. Our community invested in Columbia's Agriculture Park and there is one final piece to complete- The Community Welcome Center🥳

The Welcome Center is more than a building. It is the final step in making this park a resource for our community providing a commercial kitchen, resource library, event space, and free tool checkout. The exciting news? Construction bids are finally in, and we’ll be announcing the name of a contractor soon!

Join us on Saturday, May 3rd to learn more about $275,000 tax credits that are available from 8am-12pm and learn how you can be an integral part of this next big step for the park! We will be located under the carnival tent in the location of the Welcome Center at 1769 W Ash St.
