We have had more interest in the last month than we did all last year. I don't live in Columbia anymore but if anyone has an intrest in reviving the Commitee i would help or point you in the right direction.

HELP WANTED! For the last five years (aprox) it has been my pleasure to serve as District Leader for the Columbia Democratic Committee. It has had it's challenges, but the great team work has gotten many things accomplished. It is with great regret that I feel I must step down and resign. Currently, I am working three jobs and missing a lot of family time. I will still help when and however I can. Please support the Committee and come to the meetings on the first Sunday of each month. YOU ARE NEEDED!! Bring your energy and ideas to help make Columbia a better place to live for everyone. Thank you all for your help and support. This coming election is critical to all of us. PLEASE help get out the voters on May 20 for the primary and support the candidates in November! Don't let apathy be the reason good candidates don't win. Take back your power and your voice! The Dems outnumber the other parties by registration in Columbia, but loose because they don't show up to vote! We have some great people running this year. Change can only happen if you actively work at it. Take your cars out of park and move in the direction you choose! Thank you all for everything and don't let the minority of voters choose for the majority of registered voters here anymore.

It has been brought to my attention that the date for the next meeting is the same day petitions are due. There is a notarizing get-together at the LCDC Underground. If you have any petitions or need some, please let me know so we can gather them in time. If we want to make improvements in the way things are going in PA, we need to get GOOD people on the ballot!!!!! We NEED signatures to do that. PLEASE, PLEASE, PUUUULLLEEEEEZZZZEE help get this done!!!!!

The monthly meeting is at 6 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month at Susquehanna Valley Emergency Medical Service (SVEMS ) on Poplar St. NOT at 11 a.m. We will have petitions to sign and circulate and a few candidates are coming to speak to us. BRING A FRIEND!

Hi all! Just a reminder that our meeting is this Sunday at 6 at SVEMS.

A few notes. Sandy is having surgery today and will not likely be at the meeting. Please send her prayers and well wishes. I have the list for the big day Tuesday. Sandy said there are signs so if you could pick them up for your polling place, please do.

After the election, we will gather at Smiths Hotel to await results. Please bring your districts totals over as soon as possible when they are posted. My best wishes to all the candidates for victory.

The candidates for Governor spoke at the Fall Banquet. I will give you all my personal impressions at the meeting.

Sandy has the tally on the fish fry. I can tell you that the silent auction brought in about $300. Thanks to Julie for getting all the donated items! And to all of you for the delicious food and support. And to Garry Shenneberger for cooking all the fish.

Last but not least by any means, a belated Happy Birthday to Kathy Hohenadel!!

Hope to see you all on Sunday. Committee members - Dont forget to call or text if you can NOT come. We will be 'cleaning the house' of people who have not held their commitment and have no good reason for non-attendance or help with events.

Our next meeting will be Oct 6th at 6 p.m. at SVEMS. Election day is almost here and we need everybody to make the a big DEM turnout and win!
