Are you about to start breastfeeding as a new mom? Have you been at it for a while but struggling to keep going? Maybe you’ve just gone back to work, but your baby only takes breastmilk -so pumping has become your second full-time job! Wherever you are in your breastfeeding journey -we have a group we think you’ll be interested in. We have a brand new resource for moms who are breastfeeding or pumping. Come ask questions, get support, learn some tips and tricks from a lactation nurse -while hearing the successes and struggles of other mom, just like you. As always this is event is completely free of charge to our clients, you just need to sign up -as space may be limited. Not a client yet? Call to make your appointment so you can join us too!

Last week, Rebekah joined the monthly Lexington County nonprofit council meeting. It was very well attended by directors of some of South Carolina’s best organizations. We recently saw a sudden spike in new clients who all said they found us on TikTok…which was interesting to us, since we aren’t currently on TikTok 🤔 We did a little research and found out a local content creator shared some information about one of our community baby showers! The response was so wonderful that we’re now thinking maybe we SHOULD be on TikTok! Shout out to Suni Palms for sharing the good news about Birthright to others in the Midlands. Just a friendly heads up: Birthright of Columbia will be closed this Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We were thrilled to be able to celebrate our volunteers at Segra Park over the weekend, to show them how much we appreciate all they do for us and for our clients. In honor of National Health Center Week (August 2-8) our friends at Waverly Women's Clinic hosted a baby shower! Rebekah and Tiffanie were both there to represent Birthright and to share a little more about who we are, and the many services we offer. Earlier this month, our Executive Director - Rebekah - got to reunite with her predecessor, Terry! The two of them were both attending a Women 4 Women event put on by Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, "Summer in Bloom" which raised money for Birthright. Rebekah was honored to attend, and to have the opportunity to personally thank our generous community of donors! Getting to visit with Terry was simply icing on the cake.
