A quarter of a century has passed since September 11, 2001, when the peace of our Nation was shattered by terrorists.

Today, we remember the 2,977 precious lives taken from us, honor the heroes who answered the call, & keep their families in the heart of our Nation.

Above all, we must ensure the memory of 9/11 never fades, but is carried from one generation of Americans to the next.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

UPDATE: The Adjutant General of South Carolina has officially lifted the administrative suspension of the eight pilots who participated in the July 4th Salute From the Shores flyover.

Returning these highly experienced aviators to flight status ensures that the South Carolina National Guard maintains peak operational readiness and remains fully postured to support both state and federal missions.

The 59th Aviation Troop Command remains an exceptional helicopter unit, known for its unwavering commitment to excellence and Soldier safety. We continuously evaluate our operations to ensure the highest levels of professionalism.

We deeply appreciate the outpouring of concern and support from our community and state leaders. Thank you for your continued support of the South Carolina National Guard!

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, courage, and the enduring spirit of the American people. We honor the patriots who risked everything to secure our liberty and the generations of servicemen and women who have defended it ever since. As we gather with family and friends, let us recommit ourselves to protecting the freedoms, values, and opportunities that make our nation exceptional. May God continue to bless the United States of America and the great State of South Carolina.

Today’s ruling upholds the rights of states to enact laws, like South Carolina’s Save Women’s Sports Act, which limit women’s sports teams to only biological women.

On this 250th anniversary of Carolina Day, we salute the brave patriots who defended Charleston from the British on June 28, 1776.

Men like William Moultrie, William Jasper, Francis Marion, and others defended the harbor against near insurmountable odds and secured a pivotal victory for the cause of liberty just a week before the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
