Thanks to the Maury OEM for reminding us of school being back in session.

As students head back to school, let's all do our part to keep them safe.

🚌 Slow down in school zones.
🛑 Stop for school buses when children are loading or unloading—it's the law.
🚫 Never pass a stopped school bus with its stop arm extended and red lights flashing.
👀 Stay alert for children walking, biking, and crossing the street.

A few extra moments of patience can save a life. Let's work together to make this school year a safe one for every student, parent, bus driver, and educator.

⚠️ Public Notice: Natural Gas Odor Possible Today (August 3, 2026)

EnBridge Gas Pipeline will be performing scheduled maintenance today, August 3, at their facility near Bear Creek Pike and I-65 (in front of Waffle House).

As part of this work, the natural gas system is odorized, and residents or travelers in the area may notice the smell of natural gas. This odor is expected and is related to the planned maintenance activities.

If you are in the immediate area and notice the odor, there is no need for alarm unless you also observe signs of an emergency, such as a fire, visible damage to a gas line, or a strong gas odor away from the maintenance area. In those cases, leave the area immediately and call 911 and EnBridge.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as this routine maintenance is completed.
